Supporting Our Customers and Communities
It’s our turn to serve those who often serve us. We’re pleased to support important restaurant economic relief organizations through Global Payments company Xenial including Feeding America, The Giving Kitchen and the North Carolina Food and Restaurant Workers Relief Fund.
Global Payments has launched an employee matching gift program, Global Payments Coronavirus Response Fund, to encourage and empower team members to actively support their local communities during this crucial time. We will match U.S. team member donations dollar for dollar when giving to the following COVID-19 response organizations, American Red Cross, United Way Pandemic Relief Fund and The Care Foundation.
In addition to our established annual philanthropic and community engagement programs, Global Payments is responding to the pandemic by providing significant targeted support to the United Way and other coronavirus relief funds in the communities where our dual headquarters are located.
Meet Our Employees Who Are Making a Difference
Gino Martinez
After having a family member diagnosed with COVID-19, our issuer solutions team member, Gino Martinez, began using his own 3D printer to create surgical mask strap adjusters for friends and relatives working in hospitals in New York. He then expanded his project by supporting first responders and businesses in his local area of Columbus, GA. To date, Gino has printed and distributed more than 3,400 personal protective equipment.
Call Center team members
Our issuer solutions call center team quickly adapted to accommodate agent safety while managing longer calls and more complex customer interactions as a result of the pandemic. They have successfully continued to maintain superior service and foster positive cardholder relationships under challenging circumstances.
David Charles and wife Karen
David Charles, a team member of our consumer payments solution Netspend and his wife Karen are making and distributing masks across the country to support local heroes and businesses. So far, they have distributed over 400 cotton masks and are continuing to find new ways to support first responders.
