Global Payments technology powers the best fan experience across Atlanta’s world-class stadiums
Official Commerce Technology Provider of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and now State Farm Arena and Truist Park
It just got more exciting to be an Atlanta sports and entertainment fan. On the heels of our successful partnership with Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Braves have partnered with us to elevate, innovate and optimize the fan experience as their Official Commerce Technology Provider at State Farm Arena and Truist Park. This year, both venues will integrate our stadium technology to deliver the best fan experience in sports.
Our new partners at State Farm Arena and Truist Park needed cloud technology to meet current and future fan expectations. They turned to us, a proven global leader in stadium technology. Our commerce platform powers an unmatched experience at every fan touchpoint today–and flexes to respond to future fan expectations.
“Technology is critical in complex environments like stadiums and entertainment venues,” says Cameron Bready, President and COO of Global Payments. “Our ability to marry software and payments in the cloud creates an enhanced, seamless ecosystem for our partners that increases operating efficiency, improves fan experience and engagement and drives loyalty.” Click to tweet
State Farm Arena and Truist Park, along with Mercedes-Benz Stadium, are at the heart of Atlanta’s vibrant sports and entertainment scene. State Farm Arena is the third most-attended arena in the US. It’s home to NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and hosts up to 150 events per year. Truist Park is the home field of the 2021 World Series Champions, the Atlanta Braves, who welcomed over 3.2 million fans in the 2022 season.
Sports fans and event goers alike visit these iconic venues to enjoy the game or see a show. They continue coming back because of the exceptional experience they had. Our fully integrated, cloud-native stadium technology will ensure both venues keep exceeding fan expectations today–and tomorrow. That means making every fan touchpoint as friction-free as possible, including:
- Food and beverage concessions
- Digital menu boards
- Self-service kiosks
- Suite catering
- Mobile purchasing
- Loyalty and rewards
“When fans visit Truist Park, they expect fast, seamless transactions that allow them to get to their seats quickly and enjoy the game,” said Derek Schiller, President and CEO of the Atlanta Braves. “This new partnership with Global Payments will continue to elevate our fan experience and Truist Park’s status as a best-in-class ballpark.” Click to tweet
What you see as a fan is only part of the story. Driving those experiences are back-end operations that help State Farm Arena and Truist Park perform at their best.
In the back of the house, efficiency and information matter. A lot. Our back-office software automates everything from kitchen operations to financial accounting. As a result, we’ll help these stadiums:
- Reduce overhead costs
- Perform inventory management for any volume
- Simplify and personalize the order experience
- Route orders efficiently across all ordering channels
- Customize menu boards in real time
- Cut employee training time by half
Our innovative software aggregates data in real time. With this information, we’ll arm State Farm Arena and Truist Park with self-service data and analytics. These insights will help them better understand their fans and their operational needs, fueling revenue-boosting adjustments from game to game.
"Partnering with Global Payments will maximize customer optionality and drive efficiency," says Kim Rometo, SVP, Chief Innovation and Technology Officer of the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena. "Leveraging integrations with our digital menu boards will ensure accuracy while the Global Payments back office will provide real-time data insights to adjust to demand, which is imperative for hosting 150+ events annually." Atlanta: Homebase for the stadium of the future
Today won’t be tomorrow. That’s why we’ve designed our technology to power in-person, digital and virtual experiences across all channels–for whatever the future brings next. We’re thinking 10-20 years down the road, asking questions like: How will fans want to experience events then? Will it be a mix of live and virtual experiences? We’re building today for tomorrow–and extending our innovation to our stadium partners.
We’ll work with State Farm Arena and Truist Park to deliver innovative, world-class fan experiences. We’ll explore biometric payments at the point of sale. We’ll enable autonomous stores. And we’ll deliver all-inclusive, personalized fan experiences.
Then there’s the heart of our stadium partnerships in Atlanta. Our collective roots in Atlanta inspire our shared vision to empower under-represented communities through education and resources. We’ll serve, empower and uplift. So the community becomes stronger, socially and economically.
See you on game day
