With payment insights from Global Payments, Marston’s isn’t just pulling pints — they’re turning transaction data into smarter decisions and more personalised service.
Marston’s began upgrading their payment infrastructure in January 2022, deploying 5,500 FreedomPay point of sale devices across its 1,300 locations. Together with Global Payments as their payments provider, Marston’s now has complete clarity into payment performance across every site and the tools to deliver exceptional hospitality with every shift.
The support centre is professional and slick. They’re always there when we need them. And any issues that we have, they do their utmost to put it right in the short-term, but also they work to understand a root cause and a long-term solution. Because if you’ve got an issue, you don’t want it just put right. You want to know that it’s not going to occur again and you want to move forward with that.

The Global Payments team is really productive, they’re always present and available. We need to ensure payments are always online and for whatever reason if there’s no outward internet connection to allow payments to be taken, [it’s] reported correctly and that filters down to the customer as well to ensure their journey within the pub is always a happy one.
